Ken Condon's Teed Up (7/2f) forged through the heavy ground in Galway to follow up on his Roscommon victory.
This was only his fourth start and he has now clocked up two victories and a pair of runner-up finishes.
He tracked the leaders into the dip in this extended mile rated race, and was ridden to lead inside the final furlong.
The three-year-old son of Gleneagles kept on to fend off top-weight Dance Jupiter (4/1) who flashed home for second after a long absence.
There was three parts of a length between the first two at the line as Great Grey came in another length and a quarter back in third at 10/1 from 16s.
“His form was solid. He probably had to improve but he did with the step-up in trip,” said jockey Billy Lee.
“I just bided my time to get into the straight and when I went for him he picked up well.”
