Anna Montana got a dream run up the rail to claim the Flannery’s Bistro Claiming Race in the hands of Keagan Latham.
Ger Lyons charge travelled well on the inside rail to take up the lead entering the straight and kept on strongly close home to score by three lengths.
It was a first course win for South African jockey Keagan Latham.
Shane Lyons brother of the winning trainer said afterwards: “She has done it well, she got a great ride by Keagan.”
“Her last run was a bit disappointing but she has bounced back to form.”
The 10/11 favourite The Lock Master who looked in trouble from halfway finished in fifth place.
