Kylebeg Krystle got 12Ibs for her Thurles romp on Sunday and with just a mandatory 6Ib penalty, the daughter of Oscar proved up to the task under her trainer/rider, Denis Hogan, prevailing by a length in the Thoroughbred County Handicap Hurdle.
The easy-to-back 5/2 chance got a good split up the rail going to the last where she led, both Lastoftheleaders and Rock County made mistakes here, and the market-leader went on to beat Duartin (14s into 10s) by a length.
Martin Hogan, father of Denis, owns the six-year-old and he said: "She is blowing a lot harder today than she did after winning on Sunday. She'll probably get a little break and she'll be ready to go on there again in a few weeks."
Kylebeg Krystle was a first winner in the training ranks for Denis when she scored at Thurles last Sunday and he is closely attached to the Charlie Swan yard.
Kylebeg Krystle is a fine big scopey mare who will surely have a future over fences if and when she is employed at that discipline.
