Johnny King recorded his first racecourse double at Cork today when steering the Jessica Harrington trained Operating to win the corkracecourse.ie Beginners Chase.
King, who was earlier successful on Winter Magic improved Operating to lead at the second last fence and from there the pair kept up the gallop for a two and a quarter lengths win.
Afterwards King stated “I didn't want to get to the front too soon but felt I had to go on from two out due to all the loose horses. It wasn't ideal but he's a grand horse who should win plenty summer chases.”
