Daniel King grabbed a quick 32/1 double at Ballinrobe this afternoon when scoring on Ah Fuhgeddaboudit in the mares maiden hurdle.
The Denis Hogan-trained daughter of Crillon had been knocking on the door and had been runner-up over further on her last visit to the track.
King produced her to lead before the last today and the 5/1 shot got a good leap at the last but stayed on well to record a two-length win ovr 22/1 shot Mexican Moonshine
The winning rider said:- “She’s not overly big but she’s a very good jumper and she’s very honest. She jumped and travelled everywhere today.
“She was having a good look in front after the last, but she was good to the line.
“She ran well here the last day over 2m6f and it’s 2m2f today, so she is fairly versatile and it’s good to finally get her head in front.
“She’d been running consistently and had good form in bumpers, so she has plenty of speed and she stays quite well as well. Ground wise she is versatile, so she is a nice mare to have.”
