King Of Rome in Germany

Ballydoyle´s King Of Rome, under stable jockey Johnny Murtagh, contests the BMW 139th Deutsches German Derby at Hamburg today.

The colt, 12th in the Epsom Derby before a staying on third in the Listed Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot last month, faces 16 opponents in the Group 1 event, worth Stg#236,029 to the winner.

King Of Rome bids to become the 13th Group 1 winner of the year for trainer Aidan O´Brien while Murtagh has already bagged 10 wins at the top level in 2008.
