Kiltealy Park (11/2) just touched off prominent-racer Blueu D'enfer by a short head in the beginners' chase at Clonmel. Bleu D'enfer was joined by St Faz before the last and the former got in tight to it. Kiltealy Park wasn't done with on the outer of the aforementioned pair and she did jump it well.
Blue D'enfer got the measure of St Faz in the closing stages, however, the 9/1 shot was mugged by fast-finishing Kiltealy Park who was driven home by Sean Flanagan. St Faz was a length further back in third at 14/1.
This was Kiltealy Park's first run since June.
Paul Nolan said: "Conditions suited, her 7lb mares' allowance put her in lovely and was deadly to jump, apart from fiddling one fence.
"She had been so well schooled for her point to points.
"Sean thought he'd finish second once the leader kicked on, but she hit the line well.
"She won her maiden hurdle, a handicap and I'd say the ground was a bit quick the last day she ran.
"We'll look to Christmas now and might step her up a little in trip."
