Killinure Lass makes winning start for the McNamaras After Ma Hoey at 40/1 in the previous contest, there was another turn up for the books at Bellewstown in the Pat And Eddie Smith Memorial Handicap Hurdle which went to 25/1 chance Killinure Lass. Running for the first time since New Year's Day, the seven-year-old was pushed along in rear turning for home and jumped the second-last in eighth. Conor McNamara really got her rolling down to the last and she swept to the front on the run-in to beat Milk Market by a length and three quarters. Eric Mc Namara, who trains the winner for the Oyster Boys Partnership, said: "Her first run for us - she came from Brian McMahon and she won three times for him. "I thought there would be plenty of improvement in her but she did it nicely, it fell into her lap well and I'm delighted and pleasantly surprised. "She stayed really well, she stays every yard of three miles. "She'll stay on the go for the summer, I don't think the ground really bothers her. I don't think it is an issue with her, I think she handles most ground." Quotes from Michael Graham
