The five-day Killarney July Festival meeting concludes this afternoon with a seven-race National Hunt card while there is also Flat action at Down Royal this evening.

The €45,000 BoyleSports Handicap Chase is the highlight at Killarney and Flooring Porter is an eye-catching name among the seven declared runners.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding is being aimed at the Kerry National this autumn and connections are using this 2m1f event as a prep for the Listowel Festival showpiece.

The going at Killarney is currently described as good, good to yielding in places, following a dry night and watering.

There is 4-5 yards of fresh ground on the hurdle track and the action gets underway at 1.55pm.

A seven-race Flat card at Down Royal commences at 5.07pm and champion jockey Colin Keane has a strong book of rides including likely favourite Fairytale Princess in the featured RiverRidge Royale Fillies Handicap at 8pm.

The going at the northern venue is good following 2mm of rain and the forecast is for a dry day with temperatures reaching 20C.
