Colin Keane had an evening to remember at Bellewstown, with Jeff Kidder completing a first four-timer for the former champion jockey in the concluding second divide of the Clean My Office By www.outsourcesupport.ie Handicap.
Successful in the first divide on Misty Millie Keane had earlier scored on Ecliptical for his boss Ger Lyons and A Step Too Far for Kieran Cotter. The four-timer came in at just over 471/1.
Jeff Kidder (7/2) certainly wasn't winning out of turn in this mile and a half contest, having filled the runner-up spot on his last three starts.
Trained and owned by Noel Meade, the three-year-old gelding raced just behind the leaders and was pushed along from the three furlong pole.
He was ridden to challenge the front-running Pikaia over a furlong from home, but it wasn't until the final 50 yards that he got to the front, going on to prevail by a neck.
Pikaia (18/1) finished a gallant second under Mark Enright, while Harvey Specter (11/2) was another two lengths back in third. Cool Colonnade was returned the 2/1 favourite and he finished a disappointing seventh.
Meade said afterwards: "He's been knocking on the door but we needed the jockey.
"Hopefully he'll have a chance again in a handicap somewhere if he (the handicapper) doesn’t bump him up too much. He seems to stay well and handles that ground but he goes on good ground too.
"He'll be going back jumping as well."
