Joseph O'Brien is a force to be reckoned with in the maidens at Dundalk and saddled a one-two in the three-year-old contest over ten furlongs with Churchill first-timer Neski Sherelski leading home Frankel newcomer Cow Chico

Put in at 3/1 overnight, the winner was sent off market leader at 11/8.

Settled towards rear by Dylan Browne McMonagle before being asked to improve down the near side early in the straight, the winner was initially green and inclined to lug in behind rivals. Once getting to the rail over a furlong out, he responded well and led inside the final 100 yards to beat his stablemate by a length and a half.

Stable representative Sean Corby said: "I suppose early on he looked to be going as fast as he could. He picked up well in the straight and stayed well to the line.

"Being that far back, he probably got stuck behind a couple that were going backwards and he had to switch out wide. He did well to win and hopefully will be a nice horse going forward.

"Dylan said he will stay a little bit further in time."

On runner-up Cow Chico, he added: "He ran very well too, obviously first run as well.

"He'll sharpen up a bit and should be hard to beat the next day."
