Jockey Mullins completes Gowran double Ridestan followed up his recent initial chase win at Killarney with a second at Gowran today, as the Henry De Bromhead trained gelding narrowly landed the Grade 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Kilbegnet Nov Chase, completing a double on the day for jockey David Mullins. Ridestan was leading when jumping the final fence slowly but showed great battling qualities to eventually fend off Neverushacon, by the minimum ‘nose’ winning margin. De Bromhead later stated “it was a super ride from David - he said he should have kept going at the last but felt he was pricking his ears and not concentrating so just popped it. "Jessie's (Harrington) horse (Neverushacon) battled well but ours stayed on well also. "Andrew (Lynch) won on him at Killarney and said he reminded him of Loosen My Load as he jumped so well which was a massive compliment. "I think he's better on good ground or looser ground, and it's a bit tacky today. If it's suitable he could go to Punchestown for the Craddockstown." By Tom Weekes, quotes from Alan Magee
