Job Sorted by O'Dwyer and Dalton Sorted, the only last time out winner in the field, went in again when taking the two miles two furlongs handicap hurdle at Sligo under seven-pound claimer Ben Dalton. Despite that victory at Cork on April 23 over two and a half miles, the winner was easy to back at 5/1 having been 3/1 in the morning. Our Ollie stepped up on his previous form to be second at 33/1 for Paul Gilligan and Ian McCarthy. He led for a long way and was only collared after the last by the winner who scored by two and a quarter lengths. In a close finish for third, Sean Airgead (8/1) pipped Young Milly (12/1 from 25/1 in the morning). “He always had the ability. It’s just a matter of things being right on the day,” successful trainer Conor O’Dwyer said. “He’s versatile ground wise and Ben is riding him brilliantly. It makes a big difference claiming seven pounds. “We’ll probably mix it between hurdles and fences. I wish I had a few more like him.” Bobby John was sent off the 7/2 favourite (from a morning price of 5/1) for Francis Flood and Barry Geraghty but he finished just outside the places in fifth spot of the 16 runners.
