Jazz Dreamers overcame a wide draw in stall 17 to win the Lougher Stables Handicap (45-65) at odds of 25/1.
Danny Sheehy manged to get him into a good position chasing the leaders and he wore down the front-running Designer Cailin (9/1) in the final furlong to win by a head.
Unplaced in six starts at two, the Red Jazz gelding had been fifth on his seasonal reappearance at Gowran last month where he had finished a length behind today’s runner-up who was fourth that day.
Winning trainer Seamus Fahey said: “He ran well in Gowran but the draw today worried us. Danny’s instructions were to try and break smartly and get into position which he did.
“He’s definitely come on from the run the last day and he loves that ground and this sort of track.
“It’s great that Anne (Gleeson) and my daughter Helen (Butler) are both here (part owners). He was bought so they could have a day out, a meal and a few drinks, so this is great and hopefully he can improve another bit.”
