Jakros finally got it right on his sixth time of asking over hurdles winning the Jason Fallon Live July 8th Maiden Hurdle for trainer Noel Meade and jockey Paul Carberry.
The son of Beneficial won a bumper in Downpatrick in October of last year by an easy seventeen lengths but he failed to follow up on that in four maiden hurdles since.
The 4/1cofav disputed the lead from three out and when asked a question raced clear to win by a easy four and a half lengths at the finish.
The first reserve Miracle House ran a cracker under Mark Bolger to take second at 33/1, with Witness Belle also running a good race, a further three parts of a length back in third.
The other co favourites were Cootamundra (who fell 6 out) and Divine Rhapsody (who finished a disappointing sixth).
The ill-fated 6/1 shot Curling for Dessie Hughes and Bryan Cooper pulled up injured after the third last flight.
