Jack Berry House another for McConnell Jack Berry House was beaten by the minimum margin when last seen in Dundalk but the 5/2 favourite made no mistake over the same mile trip today. He broke smartly for Shane Foley and tracked front-running Chagall throughout. The four-year-old gelding tackled and headed Chagall racing to the final furlong. A couple of backhanders were administered by Foley inside the final furlong and his mount readily kept on to win by a snug half a length. Well Suited came through for second at 16/1 from Chagall (16/5). John McConnell said: “He was a bit unlucky not to win the other day. “He doesn't have to be ridden out the back, it was just the way it unfolded last time. “He's put together a sequence of nice runs now. We claimed him in Wolverhampton, I have an addiction to claiming races! He wasn't that expensive. “The lads that own him came to me last year and have had a disaster up to this point, with a couple of horses getting injured and stuff, so I'm delighted for them as they've stuck with me. “I'm delighted, he's a good, fun, genuine horse.” Jack Berry House had previously won at Newcastle and Wolverhampton in Britain. This was McConnell's sixth winner in the last two weeks. Additional reporting by Gary Carson
