Another father and son were on the mark at Roscommon as Aa Bee See delivered for Niall and Slippers Madden.
The top weight relished the punishing conditions in the extended mile and seven handicap hurdle.
He travelled into contention off the home bend and was pushed into a narrow lead at the second last.
The six-year-old gelding was challenged by Blackyellowred at the final obstacle, but soon readily drew clear on the run-in and eased right away by nine lengths at 14/1.
Blackyellowred could make no impact on the winner in second at 13/2. He was six and a half lengths clear of third-placed Kansas Kid (7/2 favourite). Nicely-backed Theatre Run finished fourth at 10/1 from 20/1 in the morning.
Trainer Niall Madden said: "That was great. It's the first time in a long while that he's got his ground.
“Conditions suited him today in a low grade handicap. He lost his form last year.
“He was second in Tramore, then he ran in Galway in a Flat race and came home lame. We ran him in a few hurdle races but I could never get him right after.
“The ground suited today and the conditions of the race.”
