Buddy One

1.45 Mucking Brilliant Paddy Power Novices' Chase (Listed) 3m. 110yds.

A favourite with punters and racing fans alike, Buddy One has been a star for his trainer Paul Gilligan. The seven-year-old has winning form at Cheltenham’s November meeting having won a 3m handicap hurdle last year.

He ran well in the Stayers’ Hurdle in March to finish 4th and landed the Guinness Chase at Galway on his chase debut in the summer. He since finished third behind Heart Wood and Corbetts Cross at Wexford and Gilligan was delighted with his performance against second-season chasers. The trainer was of the opinion that he was too careful at some of his fences that day and he will be better for a lead.

Conflated

2.55 Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase 3m5f. 56yds.

Conflated is currently around 5-2 to land the Cross Country Chase on Friday. Last seen disappointing in the Grade 2 Charlie Hall Chase last month and having unseated his rider at Punchestown prior to that, he is looking to get back to winning ways.

He goes well at Cheltenham having finished 3rd in the Gold Cup and Ryanair Chase in the past and looks to be a justified favourite for Gordon Elliott.

Rockstown Girl

3.30 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) 2m5f

A winner of a Cheltenham 2m3f novices' hurdle in October from which the runner up has come out and won since, this classy mare showed previous good form in bumpers with a third in a Grade 2 bumper at Leopardstown in 2023. A likely outsider, she is up against some high-class opposition but has every right to take her chance on ground she enjoys for trainer Anthony McCann.
