Interesting Fishery Lane Hurdle in prospect

The Listed Fishery Lane Hurdle over 2m at Naas on Saturday looks set to be an intriguing affair with Unaccompanied the stand out name among the twelve horses entered.

This year’s Triumph Hurdle runner-up finished a good second on the level at Leopardstown yesterday and will be fit and ready for her first start over hurdles of the season.

Third in the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at Punchestown in May, the Jessica Harrington trained Jenari will be hoping to put his hurdling debut defeat behind him.

The son of Milan was sent off the 4/6 at Galway last month but couldn’t peg back Spring Heeled up the hill at Ballybrit.

Peter Fahey’s Owega Star, who won his maiden hurdle at Listowel in good style and followed up on that win over the course just getting up to beat Fully Funded by a nose over a trip of 2m 4f, could also take his chance.

Sailors Warn for Edward O’Grady is another interesting contender and having finished a good second in a Grade 3 Hurdle at Punchestown last month behind Steps To Freedom he will be well fancied to go one place better.

The Billy Harney trained Joxer, who won his bumper on his debut at Thurles last month could also line up along with the Eric McNamara’s smart filly Little Green.
