Punters didn't want to know about much else bar Senor Mirasol (6/4 in the morning and returned 4/5) for the Listed Danehill Dancer Tipperary Stakes and they hadn't many worries as Neil Callan sent the English raider to win his race over a furlong out, going on to defeat Nubar Lady by two and a half lengths.
By Deportivo, who sired his only other Irish winner when Beth scored at Sligo on August 6th, Senor Mirasol won comfortably as one might expect from a horse dropping back from Group 2 company.
Kildare native, Neil Callan said: "He handled the ground pretty well, it was sticky, bordering on heavy. He is a tough little bugger and seems to be getting faster as he gets more experience. He could go for something like the Flying Childers and he could not have been more impressive today."
Winning trainer, Kevin Ryan, based at Hambleton, North Yorkshire, wasn't present. He is a native of Golden, Co. Tipperary. (EM)
