I'm Spartacus leads home 1-2 for McGuinness Trainer Ado McGuinness registered a 1-2 with a pair of four-year-olds in Dundalk’s Put The Fun In Fundraising At Dundalk Handicap today, as winner I’m Spartacus lead home stablemate Clonmacash. Held up in mid-field by jockey Adam Caffrey, I’m Spartacus eventually improved to lead inside the final furlong, to beat his near-neighbour by a half-length. Afterwards McGuinness said "I’m Spartacus is a horse that has been unlucky with draws up here: he has been drawn wide a good bit and things just haven't fallen right for him. Both times he has been drawn well, he has won and he had a good draw today. “Adam was very good on him - he knows the horse very well because he has ridden him plenty of times and rides this place well. "I’m Spartacus belongs to Paddy McKeever - a former Armagh footballer, and his cousin Conor who is American based." Regarding his runner-up Clonmacash, he added "he has run great. I half fancied him more but he got caught wide and the quickest way around here is the shortest way. He gave away a little bit more ground but has run well.
