Caroline Hutchinson enjoyed a great run of success in August of 2008 and the Kildare handler again has her string in fine form at this time of year as Oxalido followed up Wellforth's win at Bellewstown last night with Andrew Lynch again in the plate. Bernabeu looked a certain scorer when striking on from before two out where Oxalido wasn't completely fluent but the latter stormed up the run-in to get there virtually on the line. The verdict was a head.
Hutchinson commented: "I only have him two months. He is improving every day since I got him. He was very hot when I got him and my staff have done a great job with him. The owner, Patricia Monahan is a new owner to me and it is great to have a winner for her straight away. Andrew gave him a great ride."
