Huddle Up gives Nathan Crosse bragging rights The Crosse brother fought out the spoils in the auction maiden in Cork with Nathan Crosse and Huddle Up coming out best by a neck. The 9/2 shot pulled clear with even-money-favourite Prairie Dancer in the final furlong with the latter just holding a narrow advantage. Huddle Up got to the front in the final 150 yards and came home best to fend off the favourite in this six-furlong sprint. There was a seven and a half length gap back to third-placed One Smart Cookie at 50/1. Trainer Willie McCreery said: “It’s onwards and upwards, and we’ll try find a few little races for him. He’s a fun horse to have but he’s grand and he’s after paying for himself there in one fell swoop. "He did that well. I castrated him early just because he was just thinking about things, but he had a lovely attitude there. “He was very game to the line, and I thought Nathan was very strong on him - he showed his younger brother what to do!” Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
