Hour gets there Just on time Dylan Browne McMonagle timed it to absolute perfection when getting Just An Hour up right on the line to land the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF(C&G)Maiden at Killarney. The Joseph O'Brien trained colt had made a very encouraging racecourse debut at Dundalk back in December but failed to build on that effort when only third at that same venue on his reappearance in March. However, the switch to turf clearly suited the son of Justify, as he kept on to great effect to collar long-time leader Narmar at the death. The latter had looked to have the upper hand when striding on early in the straight but he had no answer to the late lunge of the O'Brien trained winner. Brendan Powell, representing the winning trainer said: "he is nicely bred and I felt he didn't quite get the trip last time. I think he will end up staying as he was quite weak and is still unfurnished. "He loves good ground and will be better on faster ground and Dylan said he'd prefer a galloping track. He said they outpaced him for a bit but was confident half-a-furlong out that he would get there." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
