Sword Of Honour made a very impressive debut in the concluding bumper at Killarney.
The well-bred son of Montjeu swept into the lead over two furlongs from home, under Derek O'Connor, and soon skipped clear.
Pat Flynn 's charge only had to be shaken up inside the final furlong to record an easy nine length success over 3/1 favourite Stormy Oscar
The 5/1 winner carried the Sue Magnier colours and has a top-class Flat pedigree.
The four-year-old is a half-brother to Listed winner Moments Of Joy and is a son of top-class racemare My Emma, a dual Group One winner. She herself is a half-sister to Classic Cliche.
"We were worried the ground might have gone a bit too soft for him," said Eoghan Norris, who was representing Flynn.
"He's probably not 100 per cent fit for that type of ground and will probably come on for the run.
"He's only a handy size horse and came out of Ballydoyle. He'll more than likely go for a winners of one bumper."
