Hill bids to follow-up at Sligo Poormans Hill aims to grab another victory before his new handicap mark kicks in when lining up at Sligo on Wednesday. Gordon Elliott's charge was most impressive on his handicap chase debut at Downpatrick last Friday when running out a wide-margin winner. The handicapper reacted by giving him an 18lb hike but he gets the chance to run under just a 4lb penalty in the Leo McMorrow Memorial Novice Handicap Chase. Jack Kennedy again takes the ride on the Stowaway gelding who made the perfect start for Elliott at the northern track. Elliott has booked Davy Russell for his other three runners on the card and the trio all look to have leading chances. Penny Jane bids to make her breakthrough over fences in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase after three placed efforts. The handicapper has allotted her a rating of 114 and she looks clear best in the two-mile one-furlong contest. Bilko is another who has been knocking on the door in recent times and he looks to have been well placed in the Congrats Derek Fox From Sligo Races Chase. The Gigginstown gelding looked set for another solid placed effort before falling at the last in a Listowel handicap and appears to be taking a drop in grade now. He has some solid beginners' form behind smart sorts like Blazer and Three Wise Men and doesn't appear to face anything of that calibre now. Robin Des Mana makes his chase debut for Elliott in the Frank O'Beirne Memorial Beginners Chase. The six-year-old ran in some good maiden hurdles last season and looks a nice sort to go jumping with. His main rival looks to be Coeur Joyeux, a talented if somewhat frustrating sort over hurdles. Philip Dempsey's charge ran well when third to Rosie Alice over fences at Kilbeggan a few weeks ago and that chase experience looks an asset. The Maddens Bar and Restaurant Handicap Chase sees a rematch from last month between Eight Till Late and Presenting Mahler. The former got home by half a length on their last meeting and there looks sure to be little between the pair again with Presenting Mahler having won since at Listowel.
