Highdownhill lands 25/1 surprise Boots Madden and Slippers Madden teamed up to win Sligo's two mile two furlong handicap hurdle with 25/1 outsider Highdownhill in the JP McManus second colours. The six-year-old Montjeu gelding came from off the pace to win by three-and-a-half lengths in a race dominated by outsiders. 16/1 chance Heavenly Bound was driven clear before the last but made a mistake there and had to settle for the runner-up berth. Old Magic at 12/1 and Bean Chroi Bhriste at 14/1 took third and fourth. Trainer Niall Madden said: "That's great. He has been a very disappointing horse. "They went too quick and they all stopped in front and he kept galloping. This is a lucky spot for me." Take A Shot, in the JP McManus first colours, was punted from 4/1 to 5/2 favouritism but finished fifth. The winner paid a whopping euro 97.80 on the Tote.
