Henry Higgins justified odds of 4/11 in style in the Park Gigs Maiden Hurdle at Gowran, the Jeremy gelding scoring by nine lengths in the hands of Mark Walsh.
The 125-rated J P McManus owned gelding obviously had outstanding credentials for this seven runner two miler and there was only going to be one result once the hotpot took over from the second favourite, Little Haarth at the penultimate flight.
"He is brilliant at jumping and he always was," enthused winning trainer Charles O'Brien.
He added: "It seems to be a thing with Jeremy's. They just absolutely love it. He has done absolutely no schooling since he last ran over hurdles (last February) as the ground has been so quick.
"Mark said five strides from his hurdles that he starts to take off! I suppose we can go anywhere with him. I'd like to think he might be good enough to compete at a proper level.
"We will see, he is still a novice and he has got all the options for the rest of the season. A race like the Cesarewitch would appeal to me." (DM & EM)
