Jack Hendrick, who rode his 100th point-to-point winner at Borris House yesterday, enjoyed a track success on Secrecies Of Stone in the John Thomas McNamara (QR) Handicap Steeplechase at Leopardstown.

He loomed large on the outer of Nephin Beg two out and travelled better to pick it up before the last. The seven-year-old gelding bounded away on the run-in to strike by eight and a-half lengths at 4/1.

Nephin Beg, who was backed from 14/1 to 9/1, put in a lot of good work off the front before being outgunned in second. A Wave Of The Sea (11/2) was a length and a-half back in third.

Paul Nolan said: "Jack kept him happy all the way. He said he liked being wide, he doesn’t seem to like the hustle and bustle of things.

“He was very confident all the way around with the way he was jumping, the rhythm and the way he was pricking his ears. He was loving it and he just kept taking him back.

“He won easy in the end. He’s rated 102 there and he’ll probably get a whack for that.

“I’m just glad that he went and did it. Probably because of the room that he needs, these galloping tracks suit him well.

“He might get into the bottom of something nice at Fairyhouse or somewhere like that.”
