Haziyna returned to form with avengeance when taking the featured Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap in impression fashion under Ben Curtis at Navan.
The Aga Khan's three-year-old, who was raised 15lb for a facile win at Leopardstown earlier this season before running too freely at Dundalk, is in line for another sizeable hike by the handicapper after this success.
The easy-to-back 3/1 chance was patiently-ridden by Curtis, making smooth headway on the outer before sweeping to the front over a furlong out for a five and a half length victory over the front-running Night Glimmer (5/1). Crystal Morning well-supported from 3/1 down to 7/4 favourite, could find no extra from over a furlong out finishing fifth.
Winning trainer John Oxx said: “She doesn't like the polytrack. She'll probably get hammered by the handicapper after this, and it might be hard to win again with her. However she's a nice filly and won well today. She'll go for another fillies handicap, and we'll see if she goes a bit further in distance. The Ulster Oaks at Down Royal could be a race for her.”
