Hayes doubles up on Tak Chris Hayes recorded a double on the card when Allegra Tak produced a game front running performance to claim the six furlong handicap at Naas. The decision to stick on the far rail as most of the runners came towards the centre paid dividends in the end for Hayes. The Harry Rogers-trained filly came under pressure at the two marker but stayed on well inside the final furlong to post a length-and-three-quarters victory over Theyturnedmedown. The winner had faded in the closing stages when making the running at the Curragh last time but bounced back to form on her return to Naas where she had recorded two previous victories. “She's been a bit in and out. She looked like the winner at the Curragh last time but downed tools,” said Rogers. “I thought she was beaten at halfway but she picked up well when Chris got after her. She seems to like it here and we'll try and find another one for her.” Hayes had also struck earlier on Talitha Kum in the mile rated race.
