The 4/6 favourite Harmonya Maker absolutely dotted up under Jamie Codd in the final race of the year in Ireland, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares (Pro/Am) Flat Race.
Runner-up in a Listed contest at Navan on her debut last month, the daughter of Saddler Maker tracked the leader until improving to lead before halfway. Market second-choice Carrigmoorna Queen tried to go with her in the straight but had no answer as the winner effortlessly went clear to score by a dozen lengths.
Paddy Power introduced Harmonya Maker at 16/1 for the Champion Bumper.
After Pied Piper in the juvenile hurdle, it was a double on the day and a good way to end a trying year for winning trainer Gordon Elliott who said: “She’s a nice mare and one for the future.
“She might be one for Leopardstown or Fairyhouse, we have those options and could be one to run in a Graded hurdle and then put away for next year.
“I’d say she’s improved a lot from her first run, she was more professional today.
“I’d say she’ll go on any ground.”
