Han Solo gets up to edge a Thriller Han Solo wore down Legal Thriller close home to win the first split of the extended mile handicap in Cork. The nicely backed 5/2 favourite hit his straps in the final furlong and always looked like he was getting there. Legal Thriller (7/1) stuck at it on the far rail, though, and only gave best by a head in the final strides. Adapt To Dan came in two lengths away in third at 7/2. The winner had finished runner-up three times in a row prior to this so certainly wasn't winning out of turn. He availed of McMonagle's 7lb claim for the first time and further cemented a partnership with Augustine Leahy which has been fruitful in recent times. "I have no immediate plans for him but he jumps a hurdle well," Augustine Leahy said. Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
