The opening race at Ballinrobe this evening, the John Madden & Son (Q.R) Maiden was won by the Dessie Hughes trained Grangeclare Gold
Padraig Roche who guided the seven year old filly to victory, took up the lead inside the final furlong and stayed on well for a comfortable four length win over Angela’s Lashes.
Winning jockey Roche said afterwards: “She is a nice filly, she loves that type of ground and she did it well.”
