Down Royal stages its BoyleSports Ulster Derby card this afternoon and after 1.5mm of overnight rain, the ground is yielding, good to yielding in places on the round course and good, good to yielding in places on the straight course. The forecast is for a dry day.

Cork race over jumps later today with the first of eight races off at 4.05 pm.

The ground is good, good to yielding in places and is being watered, with a risk of showers for the day ahead.

For the Curragh’s Tattersalls Gold Cup card on Sunday, the ground is good but there’s an unsettled forecast with a risk of heavy showers.

It sure will be a different kind of Galway races this year, but the weather forecast has a familiar look to it.

The seven days of action from Ballybrit sees all the jumping on the middle three days of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, sandwiched between Flat racing on the first two, and final two, days.

Currently the ground is good to yielding (Flat) and good (NH). There’s rain on the way, with approximately 10-12mm forecast for today and, after being due to be mainly dry until racing on the opening day, there’s the risk of approximately 12-14mm of rain after racing on Monday.
