Ground conditions have improved at Cork where the going is now described as good to yielding (yielding in places) for their student raceday, with the first on a seven race card due to get underway at 3.15pm.

Looking further ahead, the ground at Downpatrick is now good (good to firm in places) for their meeting on Sunday.

Selected areas of the northern track will be watered if necessary. Racing also takes place at the Curragh on Sunday, and the going at headquarters is yielding to soft.

The weather forecast is dry today, with the risk of showers both tonight and tomorrow.
