It is day one of the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown and the going on the chase course is yielding, good to yielding in places while the hurdle track remains soft.
A breezy, overcast and dry day is forecast.
Overnight, approximately 3-4mm of rain is expected with another dry racing day on Sunday.
The first of seven races is off at 1.15pm.
Among the four Grade 1 races on the card is the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup at 3.30pm where Galopin Des Champs who is unbeaten in six chases at Leopardstown, faces off against Fact To File who lowered his colours in the John Durkan at Punchestown in November.
Galopin Des Champs is bidding for a hat-trick in the day one showpiece.
