Glen Robin comes good at 20/1 for Nolan/Cooper Glen Robin took a big step forward on his sixth start to record a 20/1 surprise in division one of the Foynes Handicap Hurdle at Limerick. The Paul Nolan-trained gelding was patiently ridden to lead at the penultimate flight and was soon clear before meeting the last on a long stride and throwing a mighty leap. The five-year-old kept on well under Bryan Cooper to beat Monatierna by six and a half lengths, with Deealli a further length and a half away in third and Milestone Prince completed the placings in fourth. Cooper said, "He is a bit of a boyo. The first day I rode him I thought he was a grand summer type of horse and he disappointed after it. "I actually buried him going around there today and went around with a big looping rein. He didn't realise he was in a race until he jumped the second last and then came alive. He was very good at the last two. "He is a grand fun little horse for the owners." (TW & AM)
