There was a first and last race double for Gigginstown House Stud and Gordon Elliott at Naas when Monbeg Worldwide remained unbeaten after four outings, justifying odds of 4/11 in the Paddy Power Track My Bet (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race.
Lisa O'Neill has enjoyed some great days in these colours — on Wrath Of Titans in the Kerry National — and indeed to a lesser extent on Sutton Manor at Thurles during the week.
Here her mount, Monbeg Worldwide, looked vulnerable to the likes of Balkalin when he loomed up travelling well under Jamie Codd to the two furlong pole.
That fellow didn't have any more to give a furlong out, but Monbeg Worldwide still had a serious threat to contend with in Scheu Time
Katie Walsh tried hard to get that Arakan gelding up, but he couldn't find a way past and lost out by a neck at the line. They drew twelve lengths clear of the aforementioned Balkalin.
Elliott said: "Lisa gave him a good ride. He won't run again this year if I have my way and will go over hurdles next season.
"He's a big galloper, a massive horse and when he fills into himself he could be nice. It takes a bit of doing to win three bumpers."
Monbeg Worldwide also won a point-to-point, when with Donnchadh Doyle, and here he was adding to the earlier Gigginstown and Elliott gains, with another ex-pointer, Morgan (Bryan Cooper) in the maiden hurdle.
