The Val O'Brien trained Gerannjo under jockey Barry Geraghty, had to survive a Stewards' Enquiry to win the McSweeney Arms Hotel Mares Beginners Chase at Killarney today.
Geraghty and Gerannjo were strongly pressed at the final fence by eventual runner-up Compelled and although Gerannjo did appear to drift fractionally left on the run-in, an alteration never looked likely.
Afterwards O'Brien reported “I was worried about the ground for Gerannjo but she does jump well.”
