David Marnane's charge could be picked out as the likely winner of this six furlong event from some way out and he eventually crossed the line three and a half lengths in front of Forebear. Marginal favourite Belts And Braces had to make do with fourth place. Marnane said: "He's really a good ground horse. His work at home had been very good having earlier been held up by a few niggly problems. "We'll see what the handicapper does (currently rated 82) but hopefully he can't do too much with him as it was a weak enough race." (TW & EM)
