Free entry for all on family day at the Curragh

All roads lead to the Curragh this afternoon for the first juvenile Group 1 race of the season, the €300,000 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes, and there is free entry for all racegoers on this family day.

The action gets underway on an eight-race card at 1.40pm with the feature going to post at 4.40, and there is entertainment for all ages with activities in the Moyglare Kids Zone from 1.30 to 4.30 and live music after racing.

The going is currently good, good to yielding in places (Straight Course) and good to Yielding (Round Course) following 2mm of rain. The forecast is blustery with the possibility of showers.

There is also jumping action this evening at Kilbeggan with an eight-race card commencing at 4.55pm.

The going at the midlands venue is good to yielding following 3mm of rain and watering. There is the possibility of a further 3-5mm of rain according to Met Eireann.
