Free admission to the Curragh for Flat season finale on November 5

There will be free admission to all racegoers at the Curragh Racecourse on Sunday November 5 to celebrate the final day of the 2023 Irish Flat racing season.

An eight-race card will feature the Group 3 Comer Group International Loughbrown Stakes while there is also a range of family entertainment off the track. The Moyglare Kids Zone has free activities throughout the afternoon for younger racegoers including Junior Einsteins, Imagination Station and Face Painting. All activities will take place indoors.

The day will also see the Horse Racing Ireland Flat Championship Awards taking place to celebrate the crowning of this season’s champions.

The Curragh’s Chief Executive Brian Kavanagh commented: “We are delighted to host the final fixture of the Irish Flat racing season and as a gesture of thanks to all those who have supported us throughout the year, we will be offering free admission to everyone on the day.

“It has been Flat season to savour with many standout performances on the track including Classic winners Paddington, Tahiyra, Auguste Rodin, Savethelastdance and Eldar Eldarov. We look forward to another wonderful day at the track to complete a fantastic season for the Curragh.”

The Curragh have launched the voting for the Curragh Riding and Training performances of 2023 in conjunction with Racing TV.

Voting will close on Wednesday November 1 at midnight and further details can be found on Curragh.ie

The Curragh will also be proudly supporting Movember on the November 5 and the racecourse invites everyone to join in and help to raise awareness for men’s health.

The gates open at 11am with the first race at 12.10pm. There is free parking plus a complimentary shuttle bus service from Newbridge and Kildare Town centres and train stations.
