Silk Forest opened her account in fine style when claims the All Saints Irish EBF Maiden at Leopardstown tonight.

Seamus Heffernan was always handy on the 7/4 favourite and hit the front early in the straight.

The Paddy Twomey-trained filly soon settled matters and kept on strongly in the closing stages to post a two-and-a-half length winning margin over Accountability

The winner, owned by Tan Kai Chah, was making her first appearance since chasing home Dean Street Doll at Limerick in April and had also been runner-up on her debut here earlier that month.

“I was happy that she went and won the way she did,” said Twomey.

“She had a couple of nice runs under her belt. She had a small setback, was just ready to start back so that's great.

“She has a good pedigree and we definitely think she has the ability to run in stakes race at some stage.

“She's entered in the Fairy Bridge in two weeks time and we'll see.

“I'm delighted that she's gone and won, it was important that she did, and I'm very thankful to the owners who have sent me some nice horses. It's great that the first one has won.”
