Force Of Habit romps home for Weld and Smullen Dalakhani gelding Force Of Habit dominated Dundalk's finale, the one mile two furlong handicap. Pat Smullen sent his charge to the front under two furlongs out and the 3/1 joint favourite came home four lengths clear of Accompanist. Fellow joint favourite Flattery was a half length back in third. Flattery was the subject of support off-course from 6/1 to 4/1 and further support on track saw her price contract to 3/1. The winner was Pat Smullen's 89th of his campaign to be crowned champion jockey. It brought up a Dundalk double on the night for trainer Dermot Weld. Jockey Smullen said: "He is improving and getting better all the time. He's making into a good dual purpose horse."
