Shane Foley prodcued Sharp And Smart with a perfectly timed run to claim the seven furlong handicap at Tipperary. Pepparpot attempted to make all but was just grabbed in the last 50 yards by Michael Halford's charge.
Foley got a good tune from his mount inside the final furlong and she was going away at the line for a length-and-a-quarter success.
The handicap debutante was the one for money on track, punted from 11/2 into 7/2 favourite.
Former trainer Jeremy Harley is a part-owner of the winner and he said afterwards:-
"Louise and Michael Halford have done a great job with her. I wouldn't have done it better myself!
"She was a bit weak last year and the ground found her out in Naas. She took a while to come to herself and the bit of sunshine did her no harm.
"Hopefully we'll have a bit more sport with her somewhere else."
