Provocateuse gave Shane Foley a double at Bellewstown after obliging in the Pat Ludlow Memorial Maiden over an extended five furlongs.
The 4/7 favourite was swiftly into stride from the stalls and held a narrow advantage from Curraheen Princess and Realtin Fantasy with three furlongs to race.
She slightly increased the gap racing to the final furlong and was ridden by Foley to go and take the spoils.
She didn't forge on but wasn't for passing, in the first-time cheekpieces, and hit the line a length and a half up on Wait A Little (10/3). Realtin Fantasy came in third at 9/2.
Foley said: “She did it in workmanlike style. I was a bit disappointed with her actually because she works like a nice filly at home and she doesn’t show it on the track.
“She’s a winner of her maiden now and it might do her confidence the world of good to get her head in front.
“I’d say she’d like the ground a bit easier.”
Foley also won the opener on board Caesar's Comet for James McAuley. He won on Provocateuse for Jessica Harrington.
