Bribe The Bouncer continued the good recent spell of Jessica Harrington trained horses when arriving late to win the www.listowelraces.ie Median Auction Maiden at Listowel today in a close photo-finish.
The winning son of Big Bad Bob was under pressure for much of the race but eventually made good late headway inside the final furlong, From there, jockey Shane Foley resorted to his whip and the pair edged to the front at the line, passing The Scourge at the death.
Harrington wasn't present but Foley later stated “I'm after being on the wrong side of a couple of photo finishes lately so I was hopeful (of the judge's verdict) more than anything!”
“I was flat out for most of the way but he'll be a grand horse when he steps up in trip. The track mightn't have suited but he is a grand, big, genuine horse.”
