Paddy Flood recorded a double this afternoon when winning The Woodlands Park Grade 2 Novice Chase aboard the Paul Nolan trained Joncol
Flood raced his mount in behind the leaders, improved to lead before straight and kept on well from last to win by an easy 10 lengths.
Nolan said afterwards, "He's had a few little set backs, nothing too serious which has held him up a bit so far this season. He's a big baby at (17 hands). Cheltenham may come a bit too soon and I will certainly not be in favour of going over with him myself. He's only 6 and is one for the future."
Flood's earlier winner came aboard the Tom Taaffe trained Smoking Aces
