Sean Flanagan kept it simple on board 5/6 favourite Dinons in the extended two and a half mile maiden hurdle at Roscommon with an all-the-way success.
Dinons gave Flanagan a spare-ride double on the card as he earlier stepped in For Dylan Robinson on board Arcenfete in the beginners' chase.
He was up on Dinons because Davy Russell was taken to hospital for X-rays on a leg injury sustained from a fall on Crack Of Thunder in race two.
Dinons was still going strongly at the head of affairs turning in and jumped the third-last on the bridle as the opposition struggled to get on terms with him.
He popped the last clear and beat Gambling Mistress (11/2) into second by seven and a half lengths. Salty Boy was another six and a half lengths back in third at 7/1.
Trainer Gordon Elliott said: "He was unlucky the last day when he looked like he had the race in the bag when he fell at the last (in Bellewstown).
"We won't do too much more with him this year and we'll find a little hurdle race next and go chasing next year.
"He is a big, good-looking horse that just needs plenty of time. He'll go on any ground types to be honest."
